When it comes to staying lean most people want to eat only 3 meals a day and keep up the exercise to create that deficit in calories. This isn’t the best plan of attack for those who want to maintain this lifestyle. Amazingly the best thing to do – is to EAT!
Keeping your bodies in a routine like this will create a mode that our body hits and it isn’t good. It is called “hold on to all the fat in the body because we are starving” mode. As you can guess, this is not what we are going for. When you find yourself looking forward to the next meal after you finished the first – you need to change things up by feeding your body.
The best way to maintain a lean body is by eating throughout the day. Your body needs fuel to burn fat, and that cannot be done by eating only 3 meals a day. Constantly feeding your body foods that are fat burning, muscle building, and nutritious foods allows it to work all day, and not just around the 3 meals. This also allows your body to not fear when it’s next meal will be and hold onto to excess fat, and allows you to not slow down when your life is always on the go!
Between 5 and 6 meals through the day are what you are aiming for, or about every 2-3 hours. This will keep your metabolism at a high and you will be burning the calories constantly! You can now be thankful when you tell people about your diet that allows you to eat!
